Envelopa Hub – Vědeckotechnický park Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci

This is a 48-hour intensive creative event focused on creating original ideas leading to an improvement in the quality of life in the Olomouc region. The task of the participants will be to design, create and present their own or pre-prepared creative solutions in various thematic areas (e.g. mobility, safety, infrastructure, environment, sustainability, culture) in a team or individually, under the supervision of experienced mentors and with the help of provided open data. The aim of the event is to transform the idea into the most suitable form (e.g. map, analysis, application), or at least to develop a concept (beta version) of the proposed solution with future refinement. 

The event aims to attract not only IT experts, but also specialists, students or enthusiasts across all fields with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity. Therefore, not only technical projects are expected, but also solutions in the form of concepts, plans, evaluations or analyses.

Participants will first be introduced to the rules, open data and offered topics. They will then start working on creating their own ideas under the guidance of experienced mentors. They will be available to the teams throughout the event. Interesting thematic expert workshops are prepared for the participants, which will help them in various aspects of solving their projects. Within 48 hours, the teams will create their own project, which they will present to the expert jury.
