A three-day hackathon focused on original ideas aimed at improving the quality of life.

Envelopa Hub – Science and Technology Park of Palacký University Olomouc

It is a 48-hour intensive creative event focused on generating original ideas to improve the quality of life in the Olomouc region. Participants will work either in teams or individually, under the guidance of experienced mentors and using provided open data, to design, create, and present their own or pre-defined creative solutions in various thematic areas (e.g. mobility, safety, infrastructure, environment, sustainability, culture). The goal is to shape the idea into the most suitable form (such as a map, analysis, or application), or at least to develop a concept (beta version) of the proposed solution for further development.

The event aims to attract not only IT experts but also professionals, students, and enthusiasts from all fields, with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity. As such, the expected outcomes are not only purely technical projects, but also solutions in the form of concepts, plans, evaluations, or analyses.

Participants will first be introduced to the rules, available open data, and proposed themes. They will then begin working on their own ideas under the guidance of experienced mentors, who will be available throughout the entire event. Participants can also attend engaging expert workshops focused on various thematic and practical aspects to support the development of their projects. Within the 48-hour timeframe, teams will create their own project, which they will present to a panel of expert judges.
